Epic! Monster Quest: Hyper
Description
Epic! Monster Quest: Hyper is my and buub0nik's entry to the 2009 7DRL. It is a blend of the rogulike and RTS genres. Those of you who are familiar with games like Starcraft should pick up the gameplay quickly.

HINTS!
The first thing you should do is visit the outfitter. To do this, select your main character with the left mouse button and move to the center of the 'O' shop with the right mouse button (in the SE corner of town). Then use the mouse and hover over one of the counters (the 'O's) and press 't' to bring up the outfit menu. From here you can equip weapons and armor. Your class is determined by this combination and it should be noted some combinations don't produce a class (and are labeled as "peasant").
You can use the weapon and armor shops in a similar manner... just walk up to the counter and press 't' on it. It should be noted that you can only access shops with your MAIN hero, and not a recruit. Upgrades to weapons will make you hit harder, while upgrades to armor will make your HP go up. Upgrades to the tavern will increase your party size.
The next thing you should do is kill some enemies to get gold. The easiest to kill will be the enemies to the northwest of town. They can still kill you if you're not careful, so it's recommend to turn down the game speed (using the '-' key) or to pause the game (using BACKSPACE). While the game is paused you can press SPACE to progress one frame, or hold SPACE to progress slowly.
The 'm' key will bring up a minimap of the entire world. You can use this to see where you have explored, and locate units you may have lost. An extremely useful feature is the 'group' keys. You can select one or multiple units and press CTRL+1-0 to assign them a group number. You can recall this group by just pressing the groups number. This makes managing multiple units much easier!
Each class has two skills it can use. To use these, select just ONE unit and the skills will show up in the selection window. 'q' activates the first skill and 'w' activates the second. Many skills require your mouse to be over a target in order to function.
The game is beatable but you have to be careful in combat! Later enemies can kill your hero in only a few hits, which can happen in an instant if the game speed is too fast.
